Tracking the convergence between Hollywood and Silicon Valley’

 Why are celebrities investing in technology startups? Who are the new generation of Hollywood stars straight from YouTube? Why is Hollywood getting its content from Silicon Valley in films like The Social Network? What tech tools are celebrities using to communicate with their fans?
 Hollywood meets Silicon Valley is a brand new monthly event for some of both Hollywood and Silicon Valley’s biggest names in both tech and media to discuss the convergence of the two industries and spark business relationships. Ashton Kutcher, Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, MC Hammer are just a few of Hollywood’s stars investing in the tech world as they see technology as a new way to communicate with their fans.

Hermione Way is Silicon Valley Video Director for The Next Web. She is the founder of Internet video production company Newspepper.com.

Audrey Almaraz is the Logistics Coordinator for the Hollywood Meets Silicon Valley event . She is also the producer for the “A Date with Hermione..” web series which appears on The Next Web. Audrey enjoys Gaming, Basketball and overpriced-underused gadgets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Darren Darnborough is an Actor and Filmmaker, Darren has appeared on top TV shows including “True Blood”, “EastEnders” and“The Bill”, starred in over 40 commercials throughout the world for major brands including McDonalds,Budweiser and Dr Pepper, and in award-winning feature films including “Nobody The Great” (Cinequest / BelAir Festival winner). He has hosted the technology hours on QVC, at live events for Virgin, and other studioshows. He also writes and produces, with his work being screened internationally, including during CannesFestival, documented in over 50 countries on the E! Channel, and is currently working on various TV and filmprojects as a creator/writer/producer with other renowned industry talent, including Timothy Linh Bui(Powder Blue), FilmEngine (The Rum Diary) and a previous president of Warner Bros TV.

 

 

 

 

 

Ezra Butler is currently working on a stealth startup that aims to help out millions of Americans. He has consulted for companies on four continents (to be fair, he was only on location on three of them) and is known (in small circles) to professionally lead marathon creative brainstorming sessions. He also was the co-producer of the “HanukkahLDN” party in London, England and the “Hummus Throwdown” event in New York City.
